How to Crash Microsoft IE 6
As if watching Internet Explorer crash all on it's own when you did not want it to was not fun enough, now you can make it crash at will. A bug that was actually first reported back in 2004 to Microsoft has yet to be fixed and now the steps to cause the crash have been released.
If you want to try it simply enter this into the URL
ms-its:%F0:
BOOM, IE is dead...Here is a video:
This bug is the result of a pointer overflow in IE6 and the crash does not work in newer versions of the browser. There are no current security issues but this could be used by some malware or a script kiddie if they were to change the default start page to "ms-its:%F0:", rendering the browser unusable without a more advanced registry tweak.
